Akorede Ajibade

Akorede is the Special Assistant to the President at PCI Media. She has a background in mass media. Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Akorede worked in the Nigerian media space for 5 years as a strategist and a TV host and producer of the show, “Get Inspired”—a show that uses the stories of thriving individuals from different walks of life to inspire youth.

In her most recent role, Akorede worked as the digital media correspondent and the Social Justice Initiative (SJI) coordinator at the University of Texas at El Paso. She is passionate about and skilled in 360-degree production and reception aspects of mediated storytelling across digital platforms. Akorede speaks English and Yoruba, her native language, and earned a Master’s degree in communication.

When not working, Akorede is busy with her camera creating, memories for fun.
